Neurosurgery provides specialized surgical care for disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of neurological conditions.

 

Overview

The Ophthalmology Service at the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali (CHUK) provides comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions affecting the eyes and surrounding structures. Services include complete eye examinations, specialized consultations in all areas of ophthalmology, and training for medical students at various levels.

The department is fully equipped with modern diagnostic and therapeutic technology, enabling the delivery of high-quality eye care, from routine examinations to advanced medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment.

Our team of ophthalmologists and Ophthalmic Clinical Officers provides diagnosis and treatment for:

  • Macular and vitreoretinal diseases and disorders
  • Glaucoma
  • Cataracts
  • Corneal and external eye diseases
  • Aesthetic and oculoplastic conditions
  • Pediatric ophthalmic diseases and disorders
  • Refractive disorders
  • Neuro-ophthalmic disorders
