With one Ambulance Care Service Coordinator and a fleet of three ambulances, CHUK Care Ambulance Service is a trusted provider of referral and counter-referral transportation services.

Overview

With one Ambulance Care Service Coordinator and a fleet of three ambulances, CHUK Care Ambulance Service is a trusted provider of referral and counter-referral transportation services.

The service facilitates patient referrals when required medical services are not available locally, ensuring timely transfer to higher-level facilities. It also manages counter-referrals for continuity of care, providing clear diagnosis details, information on treatments administered, and recommendations for further medical and nursing management.

The growing demand for advanced medical attention has made patient referral and counter-referral a critical administrative and clinical process. This process begins with the transfer of a patient from a lower-capacity health facility to a specialized institution for complex diagnosis and treatment, and concludes with a structured return referral to the originating facility for continued care.

To respond to this increasing need, CHUK established a dedicated ambulance transportation service to manage the day-to-day operational coordination of patient transfers efficiently and safely.

Mission Statement

CHUK Care Ambulance Service provides integrated, high-quality medical transportation to the communities we serve.
We take care of people.

These vehicles provide reliability, durability, and optimal patient safety.
